5 Best Classic Motorcycles to Customize

Something I’ve been asked more than once is, “what are the best classic motorcycles to customize?”

I usually tell people the first thing they need to do if they have a classic motorcycle is to learn how to maintain it in its stock form. Then they can think about customization.

Yamaha XT550 “La Lupa” by Francis Von Tuto

The Yamaha XT550 is one of my favorite bikes to see customized, and this bike called La Lupa built by Francis Von Tuto is no exception. It’s a beautiful motorcycle.

The XT550 is a unique motorcycle and it makes for a great scrambler or tracker design as you can see here.

It is a bike that came out in the 1980s and it has aged really well. This custom is great because it’s still recognizable as a Yamaha XT550.
