Custom Triumph Scrambler 400 XC by FCR Original

French custom shop FCR Original has unveiled the “Triumph Escape,” a rally-inspired rework of the Triumph Scrambler 400 XC that serves as a rolling catalog for their new modular parts range.

Instead of a one-off build that requires heavy modification, this project was designed to showcase an entire ecosystem of bolt-on accessories that fit the Triumph 400 platform without any permanent changes to the bike.

The team at Japan’s OA Proto Corporation—a company that usually spends its time designing parts for bullet trains—just released their “OA 100 Project” custom Kawasaki 250TR, and it is a masterclass in handmade craftsmanship.

The project’s goal was to push back against modern “soulless” mass production by creating a bike that feels like a direct dialogue between the rider and the machine, completely free of electronic aids.

Custom BMW R nineT by Mean Green Customs

Aditya Deshmukh and the team at Mean Green Customs in Mumbai have taken a standard BMW R nineT and turned it into an aggressive, “zesty” urban scrambler they’ve named “THRYX.”

Aditya, who has a background in industrial design, started the project with meticulous sketching to ensure the new proportions would stand out in the crowded streets of India.

Custom Honda NV400 Scrambler V-Twin by Gondezh Custom Cycle

Dana Prasetya of East Java’s Gondezh Custom Cycle has transformed a 1997 Honda NV400—a small-displacement V-twin typically destined for the bobber or chopper scene—into a “Hooligan” street tracker/scrambler hybrid.

Inspired by the aggressive aesthetic of modified Harley-Davidson Sportsters, Dana aimed to prove that Honda’s liquid-cooled 400cc V-twin could serve as a lightweight, nimble alternative to a heavy “Hog.”

Crooked Motorcycles, based in Southern Germany, has developed a specialized “MotoKit” for the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE, aiming to enhance the bike’s off-road and travel capabilities. Drawing inspiration from classic Dakar Rally bikes, the “Alps Edition” features a fiberglass front mask that integrates the speedometer, a high-mounted front fender to deflect dirt, and a unique seat system that allows owners to swap between a solo saddle with a luggage rack and a two-up seat in just minutes.

This modular approach provides a custom look and improved functionality without requiring permanent modifications, appealing to riders who want a unique aesthetic while maintaining the Triumph’s impressive 89-bhp performance and long-travel suspension.

Custom Honda XR650L Scrambler by Parr Motorcycles

There are thousands of cool custom motorcycles out there, but this custom Honda XR650L scrambler might take the cake for me.

Spencer Parr of Parr Motorcycles from my own neck of the woods in Indiana transformed a 2024 Honda XR650L, a durable dual-sport that has been in production for over 30 years, into the stunning “Sunrise Scrambler,” designed to look as if it rolled off the Honda assembly line in the 1970s.

Custom BMW R75/6 For Sale

This custom BMW R75/6 from 1976, currently listed on Bring a Trailer with no reserve, has been custom-built as a scrambler, a project completed by the seller in 2018. The comprehensive transformation focused on both aesthetic and performance upgrades.

The frame, engine guard, swingarm, and other key components were finished with a black powder coating, while the fuel tank was internally lined and refinished in Porsche Pacific Blue Metallic. The bike also received brushed-aluminum fenders mounted with stainless-steel brackets and a reupholstered two-up seat.

Custom Yamaha XT500 by Purpose Built Moto

The Yamaha XT500 restomod, built by Purpose Built Moto (PBM) and affectionately called the “VMX Scrambler,” is a tribute that blends the iconic dual-sport’s classic charm with aggressive vintage motocross and scrambler styling and modern reliability.

The aesthetic maintains the XT500’s DNA but features PBM’s signature style, including a modified factory fuel tank, custom aluminum bodywork, and a distinctive yellow and black ‘speed block’ paint scheme inspired by the 1976 Yamaha YZ400.

This is the Royal Enfield Bear 650, transformed into the “Black Bear” by the undisputed master of monochrome, Tanadit Sarawek (or simply Eak) of K-Speed in Bangkok. The K-Speed workshop operates under a philosophy where black paint and matte finishes dominate, aiming to strip a factory machine of its innocence and infuse it with a sharper, darker identity.

The goal for the new custom Royal Enfield Bear was to leverage its existing scrambler platform to create a powerful back street brawler, focusing entirely on a clean silhouette and aggressive stance.

Custom Kawasaki 250TR by Heiwa Motorcycle

This is a custom Kawasaki 250TR, a scrambler forged by the quiet and precise hands of Kengo Kimura at Heiwa Motorcycle in Hiroshima, Japan. Kimura-san’s philosophy is about distillation, about creating a machine where every single component has a purpose, a reason for being there.

The 250TR, a simple, air-cooled single-cylinder from the early 2000s, was the perfect starting point for this custom, which has been christened “250TR No. 018.”
