French custom shop FCR Original has unveiled the “Triumph Escape,” a rally-inspired rework of the Triumph Scrambler 400 XC that serves as a rolling catalog for their new modular parts range.

Instead of a one-off build that requires heavy modification, this project was designed to showcase an entire ecosystem of bolt-on accessories that fit the Triumph 400 platform without any permanent changes to the bike.

Custom Triumph Scrambler 400 XC Is a Blueprint for Awesomeness

The aesthetic shift is immediate, giving the small-capacity Scrambler a much tougher, off-road-focused silhouette. Up front, there is a compact rally-style visor with an integrated headlight grille, paired with new radiator guards and fork protectors.

The midsection features a more rigid engine skid plate designed for genuine debris protection, while the 398cc single-cylinder engine breathes through a custom FCR short dual-exit exhaust that is Euro 5+ compliant and requires no ECU remapping.

At the rear, the “Escape” streamlines the factory look with a tucked license plate holder and integrated LED indicators. FCR also developed a modular side-mount saddlebag system for the bike, offering a quick-release storage solution that doesn’t clutter the machine’s lines. The build is finished in a stealthy matte black paint job featuring topographic map graphics, signaling its intent for exploration.

Ultimately, FCR Original is using this build to prove that the Triumph 400 platform is an ideal blank canvas for riders who want a purposeful, modular machine.
