Nic de Sena of Ultimate Motorcycling takes a spin on the 2022 Yamaha XSR900 to show the world what this bike is all about.

With this XSR900, Yamaha took the proven MT-09 platform and built a stylish, cafe-racer-style motorcycle that truly delivers the goods out there on the street.

Watch the full video above to get all of Nic’s thoughts on this killer bike from Yamaha. Let’s dive into some of the highlights below.

The 2022 Yamaha XSR900 Is a Whole Lot of Motorcycle

The engine is an 890cc engine, increased from before. The engine got a full revamp and is better than it has ever been, delivering 6 percent more torque overall. The gearbox was also reworked, and there’s a quick shifter installed.

Another thing Nic notes is the fact that the rider triangle is sportier. Yamaha made this happen by reconfiguring the setup a little bit, lowering the handlebar and seat as well as putting some adjustable rear sets on this machine.

It would be silly not to mention the electronics here, so let’s get into that, too. The bike features a six-axis IMU derived from the R1. This gives the XSR things like cruise control, cornering ABS, traction control, slide control, and wheelie control. All but the ABS are adjustable. There are also four ride modes with one being the most aggressive and four being the one you want in the rain.
