The number of options you have for adventure motorcycle pants seems neverending. This makes it hard to choose a great pair of riding pants for your adventures.
The same can be said of any adventure motorcycle gear. With the increase in popularity of the ADV segment, came more gear options than you can shake a stick at. I’ve previously discussed adventure motorcycle jackets, so I thought it would only make sense to discuss pants next.
You’ll notice some of the options on this list pair up with the corresponding jacket on my other article. But not all of them do. I dug deep to find what I consider the best options for the money. Let’s get into the selection.
1. REV’IT! Sand 4 H2O Pants
Versatility is the name of the game with the REV’IT! Sand 4 H2O Pants. These adventure motorcycle pants are some of the best out there and will pair nicely with the matching jacket.
You get an outer shell with a blend of ripstop material, PWR|shell 1000D material, and PWR|shell stretch panels. There’s also a detachable thermal liner, a Hydratex|G-liner for waterproofing that’s also detachable, Seeflex CE Level 2 protection at knees, and SeeSmart CE Level 1 type B hip protection. Add to all of that a lot of ventilation, pockets, and some adjustment at the waist and you have a killer pair of motorcycle pants ready for any adventure.

2. Sedici Avventura Waterproof Pants
The Sedici Avventura Pants are another great option. The jacket also made it into my article about ADV jackets, so you can just buy the set and have the best on top and bottom.
The pants come with a three layer construction. There’s a 450D Oxford fabric shell, a waterproof removable liner and a quilted thermal liner. Zippers provide access between layers, and there’s a ventilation system throughout the pants. You’ll also find plenty of pockets, some adjustments at the waist, stretch panels above the knees, and CE level 2 knee armor.

3. Olympia Airglide 6 Pants
The Olympia Airglide 6 pants are a great option that too many riders overlook. These pants offer a lot of great features at an affordable price. They’re also well-made meaning you’ll have these for years to come.
The pants offer 1000 denier Cordura fabric with Ballistic Airflow mesh panels for the outer shell. You get some waterproof over or under rain pants too. The pants also provide a full-length two-way zipper, 1000 denier knee panels, an EZ-Hem bottom detail, 5mm reflective material on the seams, elasticized accordion panels on the waist, plenty of pockets, and a zipper for attaching to a jacket.

4. Firstgear Kathmandu Overpants
The Firstgear Kathmandu Overpants are an excellent pair of pants for adventure riding. I included the Kathmandu Jacket on my article about ADV jackets, so it only makes sense to have these pants here. There is a Kathmandu 2.0, but the first version offers excellent features for less money. While it’s around, I recommend it.
The Kathmandu Overpants are sized to fit over your clothes, which is different than some of the options here. But that’s a good thing. These pants offer fully adjustable D3O T5 CE Armor in the hips and knees, waterproof and breathable stretch fabric in key areas, chamude suede knee patches, plenty of vents throughout, integrated short bib with suspenders, detachable pants liner, a jacket zipper connection, plenty of adjustments, and plenty of pockets throughout, including waterproof ones.

5. Klim Latitude Pants
The Klim Latitude Pants are all about versatility. You’ll be happy to wear these pants anywhere. They offer some of the best materials you’ll find on any pair of pants out there and they’re not outrageously priced, though they are at the upper end.
The pants feature Gore-Tex 2-Layer material that is both breathable and waterproof. There’s 840D Cordura laminate in high abrasion zones, and goat leather provides some grip and additional protection. Additionally, the Latitude pants offer 3M reflective materials, D3O T5 EVO XT Level 1 hip and knee armor with adjustable pockets, plenty of venting for airflow, and a lot of pockets. Add to all that with adjustments at the waist and cuffs and you have a really nice pair of pants.

Other Great Adventure Motorcycle Pants
Are there other good options out there for adventure motorcycle pants? You bet. What I would say to do is start with the five options above and then go from there. Stick to well-known brands and options that have favorable reviews from riders like yourself and you should do just fine.
