3 Excellent Pairs of Summer Motorcycle Pants

Summer motorcycle pants from Knox

When summer comes, you’ll need to be ready. That means you should get the right summer motorcycle pants.

Sure, having a summer motorcycle jacket is smart—you definitely should have at least one mesh jacket—but I’ve found that breathable pants can make make a huge difference.

Here are three of my top pics for the best pairs of summer motorcycle pants for all you hot weather riders out there.

REV’IT! Tornado 3 Pants

REV'IT! Tornado 3 Pants

REV’It! makes some of the best gear out there, and these REV’IT! Tornado 3 Pants are perfect for the warm summer months. They’re really designed for multiple seasons, but they get the job done well when the temperature climbs.

You get a PWR|shell mesh outer shell that’s a mixture of 750D, stretch, and 500D material. The insulation is fully detachable, the breathable material gets plenty of air to your legs, and the Seeflex level 2 CE protection at the knees and Seesmart CE level 1 protection at the hips are a nice touch. There are also various ventilation panels throughout the pants to aid in airflow.

Sedici Marco Mesh Waterproof Pants

Sedici Marco Mesh Waterproof Pants

If the price of the REV’IT! pants make you want to scream, then turn to Sedici. Yes, it’s Revzilla’s budget in-house brand, but the gear doesn’t suck. It’s not the best or most stylish, but it’ll get the job done. The Sedici Marco Mesh Waterproof Pants are a great option for summer riding. And there’s a matching jacket.

So, what do these pants offer? You’re getting 450D outer shell material, airflow mesh inner liner, a removable waterproof and windproof liner, reflective details, stretch panels, hook-and-loop waist adjustment, side leg zipper openings, a short jacket-to-pants connection zipper, pocket (empty) for hip protection, and CE level 2 armor in the knees. As I said, it’s not the best thing out there, but for the price, it’s darn good.

Knox Urbane Pro Pants

Knox Urbane Pro Pants

If you hate the styling of the pants shown above but still want something good for summer, then the Knox Urbane Pro Pants could be a good choice. They bring breathable street style to motorcycle riders. They’re slimmer fitting, which can feel hotter, but they come with several ventilation panels. That means you should get plenty of airflow, though some riders I know expected more from them. Still, I think these are a good option if you’re looking for a more stylish pair of ventilated pants.

You get tough nylon spandex with a straight leg construction, leather branding on the waistband, YKK zipper, six total pockets, and removable CE-approved Micro-Lock knee and hip protectors.
