TVS Will Launch an Electric Subsidiary

It appears TVS will have an electric branch soon. The company recently acquired Ego Movement, a Switzerland-based electric bicycle company. In July it announced a focus on electrified vehicles.

Now the company has announced it will launch its own TVS electric subsidiary. This subsidiary won’t just sell electric bikes, it will conduct business at every level from conception vehicles to sales.

TVS is a major player in the Indian motorcycle and scooter industry, and it owns many well-known brands including Norton.

Ducati and MotoE World Cup – Ducati Becomes Sole Supplier Starting 2023

Ducati doesn’t have a typical electric motorcycle just yet, but the company has committed to becoming the sole supplier for the all-electric MotoE World Cup starting in 2023.

The company’s agreement will put Ducati in the limelight with MotoE, which runs alongside MotoGP, from 2023 to 2026.

Previously, Energica was the company that filled this role, but it announced its partnership was coming to an end.

State of New York Bans Sale of Internal Combustion Powered Vehicles After 2035

New York’s governor Kathy Hochul announced the signing of some new legislation that would ban the sale of vehicles that use internal combustion engines from 2035 on.

The electrified future is upon us whether you like it or not. Even if consumers don’t want it, state legislations do.

This bill signed would impact all cars, trucks, off-road vehicles, and equipment. Motorcycles and scooters are not specifically called out but it stands to reason they would be included.

It’s an improved version of the electric bike in just about every way, and could hint at what most motorcycle companies will be looking to produce in the future.

EVs make sense as peppy commuters, and Vespa the perfect scooter in the Elettrica.

While I’ll always love the rumble of an internal combustion engine, electric powertrains will likely dominate the future of vehicle technology.

Electricity will power cars, motorcycles, and scooters. Vespa is making that a reality with its new Elettrica.

The electric scooter has impressive performance stats. It’s power, range, recharge times, and everything else are exactly what I’d want in a commuter vehicle.
