The Ottobike MCR2 is a Usable Electric Mini Motorcycle

Ottobike MCR2

Ottobike improves the design of its little electric bike.

Taiwanese company Ottobike came out with its MCR motorcycle last year, the bike looked good and got people interested, but it wasn’t perfect.

Now the company has a new version of the motorcycle, aptly named MCR2.

It’s an improved version of the electric bike in just about every way, and could hint at what most motorcycle companies will be looking to produce in the future.

The Ottobike MCR2 is like an Electric Grom

The Ottobike MCR2 is a small motorcycle. It’s about the size of the Honda Grom and Kawasaki Z125 Pro. That means it should be a fun little bike to whip around town, especially with electric torque.

The MCR2 features some impressive stats that are much better than last year’s model.

According to RideApart, the bike has a range of about 136 miles. Power is up to 8 to 10 kilowatts. The bike can travel speeds of up to 65 mph. It gets Brembo brakes for true stopping power, and offers three drive modes: Eco, Comfort, and Sport.

The TFT display works as instrumentation, and there’s plenty of other tech, including a rear-view camera, Google Maps powered navigation, and an automatic headlight.

There’s no word yet on whether or not it will come to the U.S, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
