I write daily motorcycle news over at Web Bike World and at the end of the week, I like to do a news roundup at the end of the week.

This week has been a really crazy one, and it was actually somewhat tough to pick just three news stories. But I also didn’t want to crowd up my list too much. So here are the most important ones.

A Conversation With the Confederate Motorcycle’s Owner Ernest Lee.

I recently had the chance to sit down and chat with Ernest Lee of Confederate Motorcycles. We talked all things Confederate, but one thing that stood out to me was that he said the new Hellcat motorcycle may come out this year. I’m all for a 2020 release date for the new Hellcat

The new Hellcat Concept bike last got press back in 2018. The new concept for the next Hellcat (pictured above) looks good. The company turned to Harley-Davidson for help this time around.

There are all sorts of things you can do with Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Customizing one of these bikes is easier than ever before thanks to the long list of parts available and this Dyna Street Tracker by Robot Motorwork is a perfect example.

Valkyrie-Powered Honda Goldwing by Dragon’s Motorcycles

The Valkyrie-Powered Honda Goldwing Made by Pablo Sebastian of Dragon’s Motorcycles Is Awesome

The Honda Goldwing might now seem like a smart bike to turn into a cafe racer, but the 1970s Goldwings don’t do too bad. This Valkyrie-Powered Honda Goldwing from Dragon’s Motorcycles is from 1977, and it looks like a beast.

The builder is Pablo Sebastian from Spain. He decided to make the bike into a cafe racer, but he pulled the Goldwing’s engine out and replaced it with a Honda Valkyrie engine. Needless to say, this bike is a powerhouse.

Harley’s Upcoming Electric Scooter Looks Kinda Like My Mini Bike

Harley Moving Forward By Looking Back?

Harley-Davidson is in the throes of a rough time, but the company has a long-term plan to revitalize itself, connect with a new audience, and draw in a whole new slew of buyers. Part of that shift will be away from cruisers and towards electric bikes, like the upcoming Harley electric scooter.

I’m not opposed to Harley putting out electric bikes. I think Harley could achieve its goal of attracting a new customer base with gas-powered bikes, but if it wants to go electric, that’s fine by me.

However, I noticed it’s new electric scooter concept looks a lot like the silly minibike I race.
