Vespa Elettrica and Elettrica X Make Electric Scooters Make Sense

EVs make sense as peppy commuters, and Vespa the perfect scooter in the Elettrica.

While I’ll always love the rumble of an internal combustion engine, electric powertrains will likely dominate the future of vehicle technology.

Electricity will power cars, motorcycles, and scooters. Vespa is making that a reality with its new Elettrica.

The electric scooter has impressive performance stats. It’s power, range, recharge times, and everything else are exactly what I’d want in a commuter vehicle.

NOWLAB Built the World’s First Fully 3D Printed E-Motorcycle

It’s not a production motorcycle … yet.

A group called NOWLAB, which is a consultancy for a German 3D printing company called BigRep has built a cool 3D printed e-motorcycle.

Not some of it was 3D printed. Not just the body. The whole dang thing, excluding the electrical components, of course.

This is one cool ride, and it might be the future for building bikes.

New Gladstone No.1 SE Bobber

The super low-volume bikemaker has a new iteration of its No.1 bobber called the SE.

Gladstone Motorcycles crafted the No.1 bobber back in 2013. It was an awesome bike. Now the company has a new model based on the No.1 but with some changes.

“We wanted to build a bike where we didn’t have customers for it – this is what I’d build for myself as a personalised bike on the road,” said designer Guy Wilson.

The new creation is called the SE, and Gladstone Motorcycles just showed it off.  Continue reading “New Gladstone No.1 SE Bobber”

Moto Guzzi to Make a Street Version of the V85

Moto Guzzi’s V85 won’t be alone for long. A street-focused version is coming and nobody is mad about that.

Moto Guzzi now has an adventure bike called the V85. A lot of people are thrilled about it. Rightfully so. The bike looks like it’ll be a real winner, but Moto Guzzi isn’t going to stop there.

The company has plans to put out a street-focused version of the bike, according to Italian motorcycle magazine, Motociclismo.

It sounds like the company is making the most of the design, to me.

The Norton 650 Superlight Mission is the Lightweight TT

A twin tube chassis and tons of carbon fiber make the 650 Superlight, well, super light.

Norton isn’t joking around with its new offerings. It showed off the 650 Atlas in two trim levels, and it also has an all-new 650 Superlight, that should be a screaming-fast bike.

Norton designed it to compete at the highest level in the Lightweight TT at the Isle of Man.

It’s like a baby V4, which is what some are calling it.

Biltwell EXFIL-48 works as either a backpack or a bike bag.

Harley-Davidson’s LiveWire Electric Motorcycle Sounds Weird

The Harley LiveWire whirrs instead of rumbles and it’s kind of awesome.

For the record, I’ve always believed Harley’s path back to prominence wasn’t going to be through electric bikes. I don’t think the LiveWire will save the company.

I do, however, find something alluring about how freaking weird the electric motorcycle sounds in the video above.
