Check out this killer custom Moto Guzzi SP1000. The builder out of Denmark turned a standard motorcycle into something truly special. This cruiser is a one-of-a-kind beauty.
Making a Custom Moto Guzzi SP1000 Masterpiece
Andreas, a 37-year-old motorcycle enthusiast from Copenhagen, Denmark, built this bike. Andreas has been riding and working on motorcycles for the past 14 years, mainly Japanese, German, and Italian bikes.
He decided to build this custom 1979 Moto Guzzi SP1000 after previously building a Moto Guzzi V65 SP scrambler, which he loves riding.
The design concept was to create a long, low, and comfortable cruiser that Andreas could take on longer trips in Europe. The custom work included an extended rear swingarm, a Suzuki GS450L gas tank, a custom leather seat, a relocated rear fender, shortened frame rails, new aluminum rims, and a lowered front fork.
The engine was also extensively modified with dual-plug heads, Dynatek ignition, Dellorto carbs, and a MassMoto exhaust. The end result is a big-block Moto Guzzi that rides like a cruiser, with a stable and comfortable feel on the highway and countryside.
