In the iconic film Pulp Fiction, the character Butch, played by Bruce Willis, rides a motorcycle known as Zed’s Chopper Grace after a harrowing pawn shop experience. The bike was owned by Zed and as Butch says in the film, it’s a chopper. I wanted to take a closer look at this unique machine.

The motorcycle is a custom chopper based on the Harley-Davidson FXR named Grace. It’s black and chrome with large ape hanger handlebars.
The motorcycle features a FatBob tank, dash & rear fender. It also has what appears to be two air cleaners. This makes the gents over at Badass Helmet Store think one of those air cleaner housings functions as a custom coil/horn cover. Other custom parts include a custom headlight and tachometer among other things.
What Ever Happened to This Chopper?
In an auction listing by Heritage Auctions shows that the bike was for sale in 2020. It was in poor condition but most of all the parts seemed to be there, though it was not assembled.
The bike is listed as sold, but without logging into the auction site’s database (which I don’t have access to) I can’t see what it sold for.
In a post on Facebook, AllMoto Motorcycle stated that Zed’s Chopper was expected to fetch US$60-90k at the auction. I would expect that price would have been much higher if the bike was still intact. As the Facebook post states, the bike is “a shadow of its former self.”
Still, it’s nice to know the machine exists out there somewhere. It’s a cool bike in an even cooler movie.
