Francisco Menezes of Holy Moly Motorcycles has introduced the “Baja Kit,” a comprehensive transformation package for the Yamaha Ténéré 700 that captures the rugged, sun-drenched spirit of 1980s desert racing.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic XT and TT models that dominated the Baja dunes, the kit shifts the T7’s modern, Dakar-style aesthetic toward a classic “Desert Sled” silhouette.

The centerpiece of this transformation is a redesigned front mask with a vintage-style rectangular headlight enclosure, which replaces the stock four-eyed LED array with a singular, retro-focused identity.

Complemented by a high-mounted front fender and era-correct liveries, the kit evokes the golden age of off-road endurance while maintaining the bike’s aggressive, tall-standing stance.

Engineered for ease of installation, the Baja Kit is a fully reversible, plug-and-play solution that requires no permanent modifications to the T7’s frame or factory electronics.

The package includes a suite of meticulously crafted components, such as reinforced radiator guards, fork protectors, sculpted side panels, and a slimmed-down rear fender with an integrated LED taillight. By utilizing high-quality materials like fiberglass and aluminum, Holy Moly ensures that the conversion is durable enough for genuine trail use while preserving the lightweight agility of the CP2-powered platform.

This modular approach allows riders to enjoy the nostalgic charm of a vintage enduro without sacrificing the modern reliability and digital instrumentation that make the Ténéré 700 a modern adventure staple.

This is an update of the kit I previously profiled. I received an email from Holy Moly about this new version. According to that message, this new release features a new headlight, new colors, and enhanced features. It is also even more exclusive, with only 30 units available. (They’re already sold out, but I would keep an eye out for a restock.)
