The LiveWire Doki Scooter Is Coming Soon

LiveWire Doki electric scooter

LiveWire, Harley-Davidson’s electric spinoff, just filed a trademark for a new name: Doki. Sounds playful at first — like a cartoon dog — but it’s deeper than that.

“Doki” echoes the Japanese “doki doki,” the sound of a racing heart. And make no mistake, that’s exactly what LiveWire aims to stir with this new electric scooter. But will this work?

Doki Is a Terrible Name for an Electric Scooter

The filing, stamped April 11, 2025, hints at more than just a name. It points to LiveWire’s next big step: an electric scooter, set to roll out by 2026 in collaboration with Kymco, Taiwan’s savvy two-wheeler builder. It’s a logical move for a brand trying to widen its net beyond big, hulking motorcycles into something nimbler, lighter, maybe even a little cheekier.

The Doki will likely ride on the S2 Arrow platform — the same flexible base that supports the Del Mar, Mulholland, and Alpinista.

LiveWire showed off a pair of scooter concepts last November, giving just enough away to get people talking without pinning themselves down. They insisted the designs weren’t final, and with good reason — the electric market’s changing faster than a Texas thunderstorm.

If the Doki is anything like the rest of LiveWire’s lineup, it’ll pack punch, polish, and a little rebellion into a slim, silent machine. It won’t just hum down the street — it’ll pulse.
However, this name is … crap. Doki is too similar to dookie, and I sure hope LiveWire isn’t popping out a turd with this one.
