Suzuki Ends the GSX-1300R Hayabusa After 20 Years

The Busa is no more.

Back in 1999, the Suzuki GSX-1300R Hayabusa had every bro chanting “Busa” as they dreamed of riding a motorcycle at 194 mph.

The company has now decided to end production after 20 years.

This move comes as a little bit of a shock. The Hayabusa is still such a dominant force.

Goodby Busa

Say what you will about the Suzuki GSX-1300R Hayabusa (it’s freaking butt ugly) the bike as always been a top-performer.

The bike lost in high speed only to the Ducati’s Panigale R and Kawasaki’s Ninja H2, according to Jalopnik.

The good news is that Suzuki has renewed the trademark on the Hayabusa name, according to RideApart.

That means the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer will probably build another high-speed, two-wheeled missle of a motorcycle at some point. Kudos to them.
