Moto Guzzi Reveals V100 Mandello and Plans for a New Production Facility

Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello

Moto Guzzi celebrates its 101 years in business this year. As a part of that, the company revealed the V100 Mandello and announced its new facility in Mandello del Lario, Italy.

This new bike will be the main push for the new futuristic facility, according to Motorcycle.com.

The V100 Mandello’s reveal is really more of just a teaser. While there are full images of the bike, not all of its details have been revealed.

The New V100 Mandello

Moto Guzzi’s new V100 Mandello will be fully revealed at EICMA in November. When that happens, you’ll get all the details on this new machine.

Here’s what I know so far:

  • It will have active aerodynamics.
  • It will have a new V-Twin engine that’s liquid cooled.
  • The new engine will likely be around 1,000cc displacement.
  • It will have a shaft drive.
  • It will have a single sided swingarm.
  • There will be two verisons (the upscale model gets semi-active Öhlins suspension).
  • Both versions will get Brembo brakes (the upscale model will likely have higher performing brakes.
  • It gets a Trellis frame.

Overall the V100 Mandello looks like an excellent sport-touring style machine, and I’ll be very interested to see one in person.

Moto Guzzi’s New Factory

Moto Guzzi new headquarters in Mandello Italy

This new facility in Mandello del Lario, Italy, will serve as Moto Guzzi’s new headquarters. It was designed by American architect Greg Lynn, and it blends existing buildings with new futuristic-styled buildings.

In addition to this expanding Moto Guzzi’s manufacturing capacity, the facility will also have some tourist and visitor accommodations, including a conference center and a hotel. This will make hosting guests very easy for the company.
