Rajputana Customs, led by Vijay Singh in Jaipur, India, has reimagined a 2007 Ducati S2R 800 into a vintage-inspired cafe racer named “Veloce.”
Built for a client in Goa with the simple brief to create an “aggressive café racer,” the project departs from traditional Ducati restoration paths to embrace a more imaginative, hand-crafted approach.
This Custom Ducati S2R 800 Is Next-Level Gorgeous
The transformation is defined by its extensive aluminum bodywork, including a narrow front fairing housing a distinctive triple-headlight setup and a completely bespoke, 1950s-style long fuel tank. By hand-shaping the tank to sit inside the trellis frame rails—a feat rarely attempted due to the complexity of the Ducati chassis—the team achieved a sleek, uninterrupted silhouette that flows into a hand-stitched leather seat and a matching aluminum rear cowl.

Mechanically, the build focuses on a “black on black” aesthetic, with the 2-valve Desmo engine, trellis frame, and high-end suspension components all finished in matte or haunting black hues. To enhance the bike’s raw character, the team added pod filters for a louder intake roar and a custom 2-into-1 exhaust system that terminates in an aluminum box muffler tucked beneath the swingarm pivot.
The original Brembo brakes and lightweight wheels remain but are now wrapped in Pirelli SC2 race rubber to match the aggressive performance theme. The result is a machine that honors the golden era of hand-built racers while maintaining the modern agility of the Monster platform, solidifying Rajputana Customs’ reputation as a global powerhouse in the custom motorcycle scene.
