The 2025 LiveWire S2 Alpinista represents the latest evolution in LiveWire’s electric motorcycle lineup, slotting into the S2 range alongside the Del Mar and Mulholland models.
This “sport standard” blends the best of its siblings, taking visual cues from the Del Mar’s bodywork and Mulholland’s headlight while carving its own identity with lower, more aggressive handlebars and 17-inch wheels. These wheels not only diversify tire options but also hint at the Alpinista’s street-focused handling.
The 2025 LiveWire S2 Alpinista Provides Another Electric Motorcycle Option, and a Good One
Borrowing components from its predecessors, the Alpinista uses the S2 Arrow architecture, making it a practical step in LiveWire’s cost-effective expansion. Performance is robust, with the bike delivering 84 horsepower, 194 lb-ft of torque, and a swift 0-60 mph sprint in just three seconds.
Topping out at 99 mph, the Alpinista offers agility backed by a lean-sensitive braking system courtesy of its six-axis IMU. The bike’s suspension, a Showa fully adjustable setup, ensures a comfortable ride, while Brembo brakes provide ample stopping power.
The Alpinista is fitted with a 10.5 kWh battery, boasting a range of 120 city miles and 71 highway miles. Charging is compatible with Level 1 and Level 2 systems but lacks Level 3 capability. A Level 2 charger can juice the battery from 20% to 80% in just 78 minutes. Riders also get customizable riding modes—Sport, Road, Range, and Rain—plus two user-defined settings to tailor throttle response and power delivery.
Comfort and convenience meet tech-savvy design, with a 31.2-inch seat height, TFT display, USB-C port, phone connectivity, and over-the-air updates. Standard features include full LED lighting, and the bike rolls out with Dunlop Roadsmart IV tires.
The Alpinista is priced competitively, starting at $15,999—$250 less than the Del Mar and $500 under the Mulholland. It’s available in Glacier Silver or Asphalt Black, catering to riders in North America and Europe who value both style and substance.
While its parts-bin design may lack the flair of a ground-up creation, the Alpinista’s balance of practicality and performance makes it a compelling choice for urban commuters and spirited riders alike. LiveWire’s calculated refinement shines through, offering an accessible entry point into the electric motorcycle segment with just enough punch to keep enthusiasts engaged.
