The new CFMOTO 800 MT Explore Edition takes its adventure bike to a new level. This version of the ADV bike offers some new features and refinements meant to make it a superb long-distance touring machine while still keeping its off-road capabilities.
The CFMOTO 800 MT Explore Edition Adds Interesting Features
For those unfamiliar with the CFMOTO 800 MT, it’s a bike that relies heavily on the relationship CFMOTO has built with KTM. This is a very good thing for riders everywhere.
The 800 MT Explore Edition (like other versions of the bike) features an iteration of KTM’s LC8C engine.
It’s tuned differently, but it’s more or less the same engine, and it puts out 95 horsepower and 54 lb-ft of torque. The brakes are J.Juan brand and offer two-piston calipers per rotor. There are two 320-millimeter rotors at the front wheel and the rear wheel gets a 260-millimeter rotor.
The bike also gets a blind spot monitoring system that uses a radar system, helping with lane changes and in low visibility conditions. The new bike also gets a larger TFT screen (8 inches) that is a touchscreen. The system offers Bluetooth and voice control.
CFMOTO hasn’t provided pricing for this model yet. The 800 MT Sport goes for 9,990 Euros or $10,689. With that in mind, you can expect this to be more expensive than that. It should be a couple thousand cheaper than the comparable KTM bike, but we’ll see where this one falls.
