Kawasaki has a new challenger for the venerable Honda Rebel. I reported how the company has a new Kawasaki Eliminator in the works, and now it has received its CARB certification.
The 2024 Kawasaki Eliminator 450 is Coming Soon
The certification shows that the bike will use the model codes EL450A, EL450B, EL450C, and EL450D. Originally, I thought this was going to be a 400cc bike that had the Ninja 400’s engine, but the new bike will have a 451cc displacement.
A little more oomph to compete with Honda’s Rebel 500, which has a displacement of 471cc.
According to reports, this bump in displacement should help get the engine to make more peak torque than Honda’s cruiser.
It will be interesting to see if this 451cc engine makes its way onto any other models or if the engine will be exclusive to the new Kawasaki Eliminator.
