Cake is one of my favorite electric motorcycle manufacturers right now, and the Cake Bukk is its latest model. It’s a bike designed for the dirt but there is a street kit that will make the bike street legal. To me, it’s the most compelling bike from Cake yet.
The Cake Bukk is the Next Level for the Company
The Cake Bukk looks and acts like a dirt bike. It has a top speed of 62 mph and the 16kWh motor makes over 300 lb-ft peak.
Pair that with Ohlins and WP suspension as well as other high-quality materials and you have a seriously exciting electric motorcycle that will absolutely tear it up no matter where you are.
The bike has a 2.9-kWh 72-volt battery that provides about three hours of ride time. It can be charged from 0 to 100 percent in just 2.5 hours. The battery pack is also swappable, so you could just swap it out and keep riding.
According to the website, the bike cost $10,270 starting out. Add the street kit or any of the upgrades and that will climb quickly.
Cake’s bikes have always been pricey for what you really get, but this is the first bike I would truly consider buying, and I love to see Cake moving in this direction from its more moped and e-bike products.
