Benda Motorcycles is trying to change the narrative for Chinese motorcycles. Known for its bold designs and original engineering, Benda is officially entering the U.S. market through distributor Keeway America. I’d reported that it was set to do so a while back, but now the time has come.

The launch lineup includes three affordable cruiser models: the Chinchilla 300, the Chinchilla 500, and the Napoleonbob 500. Each Benda bike offers a distinct personality, aimed at riders who want something fresh without stretching their budget.

Benda Motorcycles Is in the US. Are We Ready?

The Chinchilla 300, priced at $4,999, is a lightweight, approachable option tailored for beginners or urban riders. Its larger sibling, the Chinchilla 500, comes in at $5,999 and brings more power and road presence while maintaining user-friendly ergonomics and design. Both share classic cruiser styling but deliver it in a compact, modernized form.

The standout in the lineup is the Napoleonbob 500, a $6,399 middleweight cruiser with angular, eye-catching styling that defies traditional cruiser aesthetics. It’s built for riders who want to stand out without spending big.

Keeway America is overseeing distribution and dealer support, providing infrastructure that could give Benda a foothold in a crowded marketplace. The bikes’ competitive pricing and distinctive styling could appeal to younger riders or those priced out of larger name-brand cruisers.

The Benda bike above is a 250 and is sold outside the US.

Still, the brand’s future in the U.S. may hinge on more than showroom success. Tariffs on Chinese imports remain a major factor. Although recent adjustments have reduced motorcycle-specific tariffs to around 30%, future increases could sharply raise prices and disrupt Benda’s strategy.

For now, Benda enters the American scene offering originality, value, and just enough attitude to stand apart. Whether it can weather the economic headwinds remains to be seen—but it’s certainly worth keeping an eye on.
