Custom BMW R80 by Ironwood Moto

I love BMW R80 motorcycles, especially when they’re customized by a group of folks as talented as Ironwood Moto. The guys took an R80 and transformed it into a work of art.

The bike is a striking example of what can be done to these Bavarian machines if you have the vision and the know-how. The R80 you see here has a massive list of custom parts, and there’s so much attention to detail. It’s a beautiful machine.

5 Best Scramblers

Scrambler motorcycles are some of the coolest out there. They combine a street design with some dirt capabilities. If you’re partial to this style, then you’re bound to want to know what bikes qualify as the best scramblers.

Well, for me the best scrambler is the one you build in your shed or garage. I’m partial to the custom builds, but I get that not everyone has a shed or garage or the skills necessary to build the bike of their dreams. Luckily, manufacturers build a number of motorcycles that fit the scrambler mold.

If you want a scrambler, and you just want to buy that look from the factory or don’t have the time, skills, tools, or space to build your own scrambler, then check out the five models I’ve showcased below. They’re the best scramblers out there right now.

Indian Scout Sixty “Road Runner” by MotoShed

There are a lot of custom killer bikes based on the Indian Scout Sixty, and the Road Runner by MotoShed from the UK is one of them. This cool bike offers plenty to love.

When I first saw it, I thought it looked cool, but I kind of passed it by. It was only upon a closer look that I really fell for it.

Roundup: 3 Best Motorcycle News Stories of the Week – April 24

It’s the end of the week and that means I take a look at all the motorcycle news stories I wrote over at Web Bike World, and I do a news roundup here on Wind Burned Eyes.

5 Best Bobbers You Can Buy

Looking for the best bobbers? I have the list for you. A bobber is usually a motorcycle that you create yourself. I’ve showcased many bobbers on this website that are hand-built custom creations. Personally, I prefer these to the mass-manufactured bobbers that are out there.

However, there are certainly some motorcycles that come with the bobber look. Many aren’t the hardtail bobbers I think of when I think of this type of bike. They’re more refined, which is okay on the right motorcycle.

If you want the bobber look and don’t have the skills, tools, expertise, or workspace to craft your own, then these can be a good option. Let’s take a look at the five best bobbers you can buy.

Icon Airflite Battlescar 2 Helmet

The Icon Airflite Battlescar 2 Helmet is not my go-to favorite design or style, but there’s no denying the presence of this helmet. There’s a definite Master Chief from Halo quality to this lid, and there’s no denying the cool factor on the right bike an with the right gear.

The Icon Airflite is a good helmet. Icon makes top-quality gear, and while I don’t particularly love the large face shield that extends all the way down to the chinbar, I do think this unique lid is one of the better options out there for a variety of riders.

Yamaha XS650 Brat Tracker From Kuna Customs

The Yamaha XS 650 from the 1970s into the 1980s is one of the best bikes to customize. It can be transformed into basically anything. The guys at Kuna Customs made a killer Yamaha XS650 Brat Tracker.

The simplicity of this bike is what caught my eye. Good on Kuna Customs for keeping things simple and beautiful.
