Looking for one of the craziest cruisers on the market? The 2021 BMW R 18 is it. The motorcycle has a massive boxer twin engine and some old-school style.
Zack Courts had the chance to review the R 18 recently and give his thoughts about the bike.
There’s certainly a lot of merits to this motorcycle, but it’s not a perfect bike
The big cruiser features a massive 1,800cc engine that’s only a twin-cylinder. It makes a strong 91 hp and 110 lb-ft of torque. The huge air and oil-cooled mill is the visual focal point of the bike.
All the torque comes on in the low rev range. It’s a torque happy machine, but it’s also quite large and heavy.
It’s on par in terms of power and torque with Harley’s most powerful motorcycles.
