Unfortunately for U.S. enthusiasts, this air-cooled throwback likely won’t be US-bound, but whispers of a potential Honda GB500 might sweeten the wait.
Rumors of the Honda GB500 Coming to the US Swirl
The original GB500 TT, a café racer with a 498cc air-cooled single, paid homage to British greats like the BSA Gold Star and Manx Norton during its brief U.S. stint in 1989-90.
Fast forward to 2025, and Honda’s GB350S channels that spirit through a modern 348cc SOHC engine, claiming 20.8 hp at 5,500 rpm and a hearty 21.4 lb-ft of torque at just 3,000 rpm. Its long-stroke design and hefty flywheel aim to deliver a “pleasurable heartbeat” without excessive vibrations.
The GB350S pairs retro vibes with modern tech, featuring electronic fuel injection, a slipper clutch, and traction control. The frame is designed for urban agility, while the suspension setup—telescopic forks, twin gas-charged shocks—smooths city bumps.
Dressed with a round LED headlight, tuck-roll seat, and classic silhouette, it channels nostalgia. Stateside hopes rest on the rumored GB500, possibly sporting a liquid-cooled 471cc engine. For now, America can only watch from afar.
