KTM North America is recalling about 21,040 GASGAS and Husqvarna off-road motorcycles in the United States because a rear brake caliper can crack or break. The recall was announced August 20, 2026, and the affected bikes cover model years 2021 through 2024.
Owners should stop riding the motorcycles and contact an authorized dealer for a free repair. No incidents or injuries had been reported when the recall notice was issued.

Which Motorcycles Are Included?
The Husqvarna side includes FE 350, FE 501, TE 150i, TE 250i, TE 300i, TE 150, TE 250, TE 300, FX 350, FX 450, FC 250, FC 350, FC 450, and several TC and TX models. The GASGAS list includes EC, EX, MC, FX, and FE machines, including the EC 250, EC 300, EX 250, EX 250F, EX 300, EX 350F, EX 450F, and MC 125 through MC 450F.
The bikes were sold at GASGAS and Husqvarna dealers nationwide from September 2020 through June 2023, with prices ranging from $7,300 to $13,000. The vehicle identification number is on the right side of the steering head, and riders can enter it on either brand’s recall-check page.
Why the Rear Caliper Matters
A rear caliper that cracks or breaks can reduce braking performance at the wheel. That matters on a trail bike because riders often depend on controlled rear-brake input while descending, turning, or managing traction on loose ground.
The repair must be completed by an authorized dealer, so checking the VIN is the useful first move rather than trying to diagnose the caliper in the garage. The recall also covers about 4,140 motorcycles sold in Canada.
GASGAS and Husqvarna owners can also find more off-road coverage in our piece on Zero’s XE and XB trail bikes. For this recall, though, the instruction is simple: park the bike, check the VIN, and schedule the repair.
