I used to love to see motorcycle cops as a kid, and recently I began to wonder just what motorcycles do police use?
Not just American police officers, but motorcycle cops everywhere. Law enforcement utilizes all kinds of vehicles, and obviously, motorcycles are my favorite.
So, without further ado, let’s dive into the topic of what motorcycles do police use?
Motorcycles for Police in the U.S.
In the United States, you’ll see motorcycle cops on Harley-Davidson motorcycles most often.
The Harley-Davidson motorcycles used include everything from Road Kings to Sportsters. It really depends. They will be outfitted with all sorts of police kit and gear on it.
Additionally, there are some police in the United States that have Zero Motorcycles bikes in their police force. These are the first electric bikes pressed into police use from what I understand.
Motorcycles for Police in Europe and the U.K.
The situation is a bit different around Europe and the U.K. In various countries, police ride Yamaha FJR1300P. You’ll also find Honda ST1300P, BMW R1200RT, and Kawasaki Concours 14P.
