The X-Men character Wolverine is known for being a straight-up badass, so it’s no wonder that the superhero rides a motorcycle.
There have been a few different motorcycles associated with the character, and I wanted to do a quick article about the different motorcycles Wolverine rides.
There needs to be a distinction between the Wolverine in the comic books and then the Wolverine that features on the big screen. While they’re the same character, there are differences, and the motorcycle that Wolverine rides is one of them.
What Motorcycle Does Wolverine Ride in the Comics?
In the comics, Wolverine has a motorcycle. That motorcycle is a Harley-Davidson. It is not explicitly said which Harley-Davidson model this is. However, I can make an educated guess.
At the time of the initial release of the comics, the images that were shown of the motorcycle looked an awful lot like the Harley Shovelhead FLH.
That would make sense for the time period. The Shovelhead ran from 1966 to 1984, which was when the character of Wolverine was created.
What Motorcycle Does Wolverine Ride in the Movies?
There are a couple of different motorcycles in the films. In X-Men Origins, Wolverine rides a 1963 Harley-Davidson Panhead FLH. This classic Harley is used in one of the most iconic motorcycle scenes of all time. You can watch it below.
Then there’s the motorcycle that the character rides in The Wolverine movie. In that movie, Wolverine rides a Ducati Diavel Cromo. That motorcycle is equally badass and arguably a better fit for the powerful and brash anti-hero. You can see this motorcycle in the video below.
So there you have it. Those are the motorcycles that the X-Men hero Wolverine rides.
