BMW has given its gas-powered scooters a bit of a makeover for 2025, pushing the C 400 GT and C 400 X models to Euro5+ emissions standards and tacking on some nifty tech upgrades. While U.S. availability is still up in the air for the C 400 X, American riders can expect the C 400 GT to roll through again, just like it did in 2024.

Both scooters share a gutsy little 350cc single-cylinder engine, kicking out 34 horses and 26 lb-ft of torque.
Not much has changed under the skin, but the exhaust now takes a straighter path for a cleaner look. BMW also threw in lean-sensitive ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control, and a host of other rider aids, making the scooters more stable and safer in the twists and turns. Oh, and there’s a shiny new TFT screen to help you manage all the gizmos—6.5 inches standard, but the GT lets you upgrade to a whopping 10.25 inches if you’re feeling fancy.
Style-wise, the GT stays sleek, with a fresh adjustable windshield and the option for a sharp-looking Diamondwhite Exclusive trim, while the X gets a more rugged aesthetic with a beefier front end. Underseat storage is a bit roomier on both models, though the GT edges out with more luggage capacity and an optional topcase that can handle twice the weight of the previous model.
BMW’s scooters may be small, but they pack a punch—and now, they’ve got the tech to match their city-slicker vibe.
