In 2024, TVS Motor achieved a remarkable milestone, registering 3.77 million global sales—a 13.3% surge, the highest among the world’s top 10 OEMs.

Once a domestic heavyweight, TVS now aspires to dominate the premium motorcycle segment globally. This ambition is powered by a robust R&D partnership with BMW, leading to a lineup with sharper designs and advanced features.
The strategy has paid off: domestic sales still account for 88.2% of the total, but international growth is the headline. Latin America, ASEAN, and Eastern Europe have embraced TVS, with European markets like Italy and Germany now on their radar, albeit with a cautious start.
The pandemic’s aftermath saw an accelerated global push. Indian subcontinent sales rose 12.5%, while East Europe soared by a staggering 63.9%. Even ASEAN, a fiercely competitive region, grew by 7.5%. Meanwhile, Mexico alone posted an impressive 32.3% uptick.
From humble beginnings in 1979, when TVS’s moped division was a mere experiment, the company has evolved into a powerhouse, producing 4 million two-wheelers annually. Its legacy includes a storied partnership with Suzuki and, more recently, a collaboration with BMW that brought the G310R to life.
TVS is no longer just an Indian giant; it’s a global contender with an unyielding drive to innovate and expand. For riders worldwide, the journey has just begun.
