Bimota just unveiled the KB998 Superbike—a stunning blend of Italian finesse and Japanese brawn—set to debut at Jerez. This beauty packs Kawasaki’s potent 998cc engine, borrowed from the ZX-10RR, and nestles it into a sleek Bimota frame. The result? A race-ready missile for the 2025 World Superbike Championship, with Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani at the helm.
The Bimota KB998 Is a Real Beast of a Superbike
Kawasaki, since joining forces with Bimota in 2019, is out to revive the legendary brand. The KB998, a true production model, will have to hit the 500-unit mark to qualify for WSBK. So, we’re not just talking prototypes here—this is the real deal.
While Bimota’s known for quirky suspension, the KB998 sticks with a Showa fork. But where it gets wild is the design.
The fairing screams Bimota with just a whisper of Kawasaki’s Ninja DNA. Winglets? Check. Sleek lines? Oh, yes. And that red steel trellis frame—it’s pure Bimota art.
There’s still a lot to learn about this machine. Testing’s just starting, and EICMA promises to reveal more soon. For now, the KB998 is a tantalizing glimpse of Bimota’s future in racing glory.
