The grand old dame of American iron is making it a little easier for good people to throw a leg over a brand-new hog thanks to some summer discounts, and that’s news worth shouting through the nearest chrome pipe.

Word on the asphalt is that the Motor Company has trimmed the fat from the price tags on a few choice 2025 models. Imagine, the Road King Special, the Low Rider S, even the rugged Street Bob – all tipping the scales a little lighter on your wallet.
And the nimble urban warrior that is the Nightster already saw its entry fee cut earlier this year. It’s like finding an extra twenty in your old riding jacket!
But that’s not all, Harley-Davidson is rolling out a special handshake for active military, veterans, and first responders, from July to the end of August. They can lay claim to up to $1,500 in “Hero Cash” towards select bikes. For others, a tidy $250 credit for parts and accessories awaits.
If you’ve been dreaming of that iconic bar-and-shield, now might just be the time to make that dream a roaring reality.
Harley has had a slew of rough patches over the last several years, and this move might move the needle a bit, but I’ll be surprised if it makes a big dent in the slide that sales have taken over the last decade or so. Still, it’s moves like this that will get Harley back in the good graces of American consumers, so I welcome it.
