Royal Enfield and Icon Team Up for a Limited-Edition Shotgun 650

Royal Enfield and Icon Team Up for a Limited-Edition Shotgun 650

Royal Enfield, the grand old name of big singles and classic iron, has joined forces with the boundary-pushing minds at Icon Motosports to create something rare—a limited-edition Shotgun 650.

And when they say “limited,” they mean it. Just 100 of these machines will roll off the line worldwide, with a mere 25 making it to European shores.

The bike, set to launch via an exclusive online drop on February 12, 2025, will set UK riders back £7,399. But what you get is something that looks like it rode straight out of an alternate timeline—where café racers and club-style customs collided under fluorescent streetlights.

A Custom Dream, Factory Fresh: Limited-Edition Shotgun 650

Taking its cues from Icon’s ‘Always Something’ custom build, first unveiled at the 2024 EICMA show, the Shotgun 650 Icon Edition is all attitude. The three-tone race-inspired paint job is the kind of thing that makes bystanders take a second look.

Gold contrast-cut rims glint under the sun, blue rear shock springs pop from beneath the frame, and a red seat—branded, of course—screams defiance. Bar-end mirrors complete the look, because even a bike this bold needs a touch of classic cool.

Adrian Sellers, Royal Enfield’s Head of Custom & Motorsport, summed it up: “Our collaboration with Icon Motosports for the Limited-Edition Shotgun 650 exemplifies the custom possibilities of the Shotgun 650, celebrating the artistry and passion of custom building while pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with Royal Enfield motorcycles.” In other words, they built this one to turn heads.

Same Heart, Different Soul

Underneath the custom flash, the Shotgun 650 remains the machine you know—Royal Enfield’s 648cc air/oil-cooled parallel twin hums along with 46.8 bhp at 7,250 rpm and 39 lb-ft of torque at 5,650 rpm. The Showa suspension, chassis, and braking setup remain untouched. Fully fueled, it tips the scales at 240kg—no featherweight, but built to soak up the miles with a bit of old-school heft.

And because no limited-edition machine is complete without a little extra swagger, each bike comes bundled with an Icon-designed Slabtown Intercept RE jacket. Think of it as your uniform for riding something special.

Want one? You’d better move fast. Registration is now open on Royal Enfield’s website, but with only 100 units up for grabs, hesitation isn’t an option.
