Honda, Zero, and Harley in the News This Week
I write daily news over at Web Bike World, and I do a weekly news roundup here at Wind Burned Eyes.
I take the best news stories of the week and highlight them one more time. If you’re looking for the best recent motorcycle news stories, here they are. Let’s dive in.
Honda’s ADV 150 Scooter Is Coming to the U.S.
If you’re a fan of adventure bikes and you like the practicality of scooters, then this is the killer bike that you need to check out. The ADV scooters from Honda have been a big hit outside of the U.S. so it will be interesting to see how the new ADV 150 does here.
Zero Motorcycles Reveals the SR/S
The bike leaked and then Zero just said to hell with the reveal it had planned and just unveiled the bike early. The sport-touring bike uses mostly all the same stuff the SR/F naked bike has. The SR/S however, has a large fairing and should be pretty comfy and fun to ride.
CARB Certifies the 2020 Harley Softail Standard
This is a good move by Harley I think. The company had plenty of high priced machines, and the Softail Standard will be a stripped-down model with the Softail design. It’s not officially released, but HD wouldn’t go to the trouble of certifying it if the bike wasn’t coming soon. I’m looking forward to it.
