At the end of the week, I try to do a motorcycle news roundup. I wasn’t spot on for a Friday roundup the last couple of weeks, but this time around I was able to make it happen.

This week, BRP (Can-Am), Honda, and MIPS are in the news roundup. They had the most impactful news stories of the week.

Honda Joins the Swappable Battery Consortium for Electric Motorcycles

Honda is one of the many major motorcycle manufacturers to join the consortium for making swappable battery technology. The idea here is simple, you have a batter that can be universally swapped between electric bikes, it’s easy to sell electric bikes and the batteries for them. Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha are all already in the consortium, so it makes sense for Honda.
