You might recognize Rory Reid from his automotive reviews he has done for various publications and companies, including Top Gear. Now he’s with AutoTrader and he gets to review bikes, too. This time he’s on the BMW R 18.
The BMW R 18 is new for the company this year. It’s a big and burly cruiser that stands out from the competition and challenges Harley-Davidson at a time when The Motor Company isn’t at its best.
The R 18 features a massive air-cooled 1,800cc twin engine that provides plenty of torque and decent handling. I’ve heard multiple reports of the pegs dragging in the corners, but Reid seems to be able to hustle this bike about with few issues.
The biggest thing about this motorcycle is its looks. The bike is simply stunning, and I have to say that the looks alone are enough reason for me to consider buying one.
