Pierer Mobility Group posted a record year for motorcycle sales in 2022 with 375,612 models being sold. This is a 13 percent increase in sales over the previous year and bodes well for the company in 2023.
Pierer Mobility Group: KTM, GasGas, and Husqvarna
For those folks who have forgotten or don’t know, Pierer Mobility Group consists of several brands.
Under its umbrella are KTM, GasGas, and Husqvarna—among others. The company’s brands have also expanded into the e-bike category, and the brands participating saw a 15 percent surge in sales to 118,427 bikes sold, according to the company’s release.
The brands also participate in the Dakar Rally and MotoGP. GasGas won its first Dakar Rally in January and established its MotoGP team, which I expect will be quite successful in the coming years.
Forecasting for the company looks good. The Executive Board expects a 6-10 percent rate of growth in 2023 with an operating margin of 8-10 percent. It will be cool to see how things shake out for KTM, GasGas, and Husqvarna this year.
