When you think of rare and raw power, Ducati’s 1299 Superleggera is already something special in terms of sportbikes. But this one? Well, it’s got a little extra flavor, courtesy of Paul Hollywood, yes, the British Bake Off guy with a surprising knack for collecting serious motorcycles. This isn’t just one slice of his garage pie, either. His 1199 Superleggera will also be crossing the auction block at the NEC Classic Motor Show.
Ducati 1299 Superleggera and 1199 Superleggera On the Auction Block
The 1199 Superleggera weighs in like a featherweight champ—just 155 kg dry, thanks to magnesium, carbon fiber, and a sprinkle of titanium.
Hollywood’s 1199, number 292 of 500, has seen some action with about 3,000 miles on the clock. It even comes with a service book and a box of goodies including a tool kit and spare parts.
Then there’s the 1299, a mere kilo heavier but packing a meatier punch, with 215 horses from its larger V-twin engine. It’s barely broken in with just over 2,000 miles and comes with a service history straight from Ducati Glasgow.
The price? The 1199 could be yours for an estimated £35,000-£40,000, while the 1299 commands a bit more at £40,000-£45,000. Both hit the auction stage on November 10.
