Should You Buy a Back Protector for Your Motorcycle Jacket?

A lot of the jackets I showcase and review have a pocket for an additional back protector but few actually come with one. So this begs the question, should you buy a back protector for your motorcycle jacket?

A back protector is often something you’ll need to buy after the fact and they’re not always cheap. Personally, I ride around a lot without one. However, if there’s a space for the pad, you should probably fill it right?

Let’s take a closer look at the question of should you buy a back protector, and what options are out there.

Zack Courts Reviews a 2020 Honda Africa Twin

The 2020 Honda Africa Twin is one of the best adventure motorcycles out there that you can buy.

Sure, the BMW fanboys will point to their GS motorcycles, and I can’t fault them for it, but the Honda is a fantastic bike, and you can even get a DCT.

Zack Courts had a chance to ride the Honda Africa Twin for Revzilla and posted a video about it recently.

HJC IS-33 II Helmet

The HJC IS-33 II Helmet is another open-face helmet that I really like. It offers the comfort and ease of use of an open face, but with a full face shield to protect you from the wind, bugs, and minor debris.

The HJC IS-33 Helmet isn’t the only helmet out there like this, but I’d argue it’s one of the better ones for the money. It’s modern and attractive with plenty of features.

If you’re looking for a good open face, this might be the right helmet for you. To find out, let’s take a look at the helmet’s details, check out some photos and videos, and look at some reviews.

Zack Courts Reviews a 2020 Ducati Streetfighter V4 S

Not that long ago, I called the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S the best motorcycle of 2020 in an article that went live on Web Bike World.

I stand by that assessment. I think the Streetfighter is the most interesting bike that came out this year, with the Triumph Rocket 3 coming up in a close second.

LS2 Spitfire Bombrider Helmet

I’ve been on an open-face motorcycle helmet kick recently. I really like the designs that are out there, and there are often great graphics, too. That’s the case for the LS2 Bombrider Helmet.

The helmet has a kind of WWII vintage quality to the graphic. It has a pinup girl sitting on a bomb on the side of it. This paired with the classic design of the LS2 Spitfire makes it look really good.

Let’s take a look at the details of the helmet and all that it has to offer.
