Harley-Davidson, Norton, and Cleveland CycleWerks in the News This Week
I write daily motorcycle news over at Web Bike World and at the end of the week, I like to do a news roundup at the end of the week.
This week has been a really crazy one, and it was actually somewhat tough to pick just three news stories. But I also didn’t want to crowd up my list too much. So here are the most important ones.
Harley-Davidson Ends the Year Poorly
Harley’s sales slid further and the company has had dozens of quarterly sales and revenue drops. The company’s 2019 numbers didn’t look good. Harley has some new things in the hopper, but they have yet to hit and I’m not sure they’ll make a huge difference anyway.
Cleveland CycleWerks Teams Up With Sphere Brakes LLC
This one is exciting. Cleveland CycleWerks has a new electric motorcycle. I reported on that a week back. Now it has come out that the company has teamed up with Sphere Brakes LLC to use a revolutionary new brake technology. I can’t wait to see these in person.
Norton Motorcycles Enters Administration
Oh, sweet Norton Motorcycles. You had a nice run, but now this chapter of your story has come to a close. The company entered administration, which is essentially bankruptcy in the UK.
