The scooter company takes a shot at the motorcycle crowd.
If you’ve been paying attention to the scooter scene, you’ll notice that Genuine Scooter Company has a pretty good reputation. Well, now the company is trying its hand at motorcycles with the G400C.
It’s a standard, old-school-styled bike that should appeal to a wide variety of bikers.
Commuters, hipsters, countryside cruisers should all love this thing.
It’s First True Motorcycle
The Chicago-based Genuine Scooter Company is well-known for its products, but its 2019 G400C motorcycle is something new.
The standard, naked bike comes classically styled and features a 397cc fuel-injected single-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed transmission. It’s capable of achieving highway speeds but is best-suited for cruising and commuting.
The bike will compete with the Yamaha SR400, and undercuts it considerably on price.
Genuine prices the G400C at $4,599. The Yamaha? $5,999.
You could make an argument for Japanese quality. However, Genuine makes quality scooters.
I’d venture a guess that its motorcycle will have the same high quality. Plus Genuine offers a two-year warranty for peace of mind.
It’s definitely on my wish list of bikes I want to ride.
