Team Green has submitted homologation filings in Australia for a new Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX, including an SE variant. This means the bike will join the Kawasaki Versys 1100 in the company’s lineup for 2025 and replace the Ninja 1000SX.
Updates appear at the bottom of the post.
The Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX and SE Will Bring Style and Speed to 2025
Kawasaki has submitted homologation filings in Australia for a new Ninja 1100SX, including an SE variant.
The Ninja 1100SX is expected to use the same 1,099cc inline-four engine that was recently confirmed for a new Kawasaki Versys 1100 model. This is good news, as that is truly a great engine.
This new bike will likely have some additional electronic features and special paint schemes compared to a base Ninja 1100SX model. That said, none of that info is available at this time.
Motorcycle.com noted that there could be some other model variations coming, thanks to the info in the homologation filing, including ZX1100H and ZX1100J. It will be interesting to see what those designations are for.
Update: Announcement Is Coming October 1
In recent communications, Kawasaki stated that it will have an announcement coming October 1. I’d expect this means the company will officially break the news about this new Ninja.
Motorcycle.com speculates more about the powertrain of this bike, and it will likely be the same as the Versys 1100. If this is true, the bike would make around 134 hp and 82 lb-ft of torque.
According to some new Swiss data, the dimensions would stay the same as the 1000SX. Ratios, top speeds, braking and technology will all likely change, though. It will be interesting to see this bike on October 1 if Kawasaki does indeed do the debut at that time. I’ll try to stay up to day.

Will the Ninja 1100SX be released in the USA as the 2025 model, or are you just talking about new models for Australia?
New model for Australia. Sorry if that wasn’t clear!
Always the chance they could bring it stateside, tho.
