Honda will make organizational and operational changes effective April 1, 2023. These changes will push the company towards electric bikes faster than before. We’ll see 10 new electric bikes of some kind by 2025 from Team Red.
Starting With the Small Honda Electric Bikes
All this comes after Honda’s announcement of chasing carbon neutrality by 2050. It’s unclear exactly how much this reorganization will speed things up, but it’s an interesting move.
The company will first create an electrification business development operation, then reorganize regional operations and corporate functions. The image below gives you a closer look at this plan.
According to RideApart, earlier this month Honda announced the introduction of the Cub e, Dax e, and Zoomer e to the Chinese market. While they’re low-speed EVs designed for urban riding, they’re a notable move towards an electrified future.
This reorganization will mean that Honda will release more electric bikes soon. It will have as many as 10 electric bikes by 2025.
An important note is that this reorganization isn’t just about motorcycles, the company is doing the same for its automobile side of the business too. In short, you can expect a lot more electric models from Honda in the coming years.
