If you’re looking to get into dirt bikes and dirt riding, then consider a Honda CRF 125 F. The bike is one of the better options out there for new riders, and I wanted to take some time to discuss why I think that.
The bike is a great choice for beginners because it’s easy to ride, has a low center of gravity, and comes equipped with a reliable engine that makes riding fun and exciting.
Let’s dive into why this little dirt bike makes a great first motorcycle.
It’s Easy to Ride
The CRF125F is a great entry-level motorcycle for dirt riders who want to enjoy the thrill of dirt biking without breaking the bank. This bike features a lightweight frame, a powerful engine, and a comfortable seat.
Honda offers two different versions of the bike, there’s the standard bike and then there’s the CRF 125 F Big Wheel. As you can imagine, the Big Wheel is slightly taller and bigger for taller riders thanks to a lengthened swingarm and bigger wheels.
It’s Affordable
The CRF 125 F is a great choice for those who want to ride a dirt bike with style and enough power without spending too much money. With its low center of gravity and wide stance, the motorcycle offers excellent handling and stability while providing plenty of power.
This proven platform isn’t wildly expensive. The standard version of the motorcycle is $3,249 and the Big Wheel version is $3,649 for the 2022 model year.
It’s Reliable
The CRF125F is a fun, easy-to-ride dirt bike that will take you places you never thought possible. Its lightweight frame makes it easy to maneuver through tight trails and rough terrain. Plus, the bike has a powerful engine that delivers smooth acceleration and responsive throttle response.
That engine is also a reliable one. The bike offers a proven air-cooled, single-cylinder engine with fuel injection. This is a design that Honda has perfected over the course of several decades. It’s designed to be used and abused, and you’ll be able to ride it hour after hour.
It’s Fun
The CRF 125 F is a great choice for those who want to ride off-road with style. This model features a 124.9cc single-cylinder, four-stroke engine that provides plenty of power while still being easy to handle.
With its low seat height of 29.1 inches and wide bars, the little Honda offers a comfortable riding position. And because it weighs less than 200 pounds, it’s easy to ride up steep hills and into tight corners. It’s also easy to load and unload from a truck or van if you’re transporting it to and from a specific riding location.
