Honda continues to make riders happy with unique offerings, and it was recently announced that the new CL500 scrambler based on the Honda Rebel will come to the US along with the ADV160 and Grom.
The Will CL500 Arrive Stateside
I reported on the CL500 a while back and I’ve seen a lot of really good things about it since then. The bike will compete with all the other scramblers out there and challenge Royal Enfield with an affordable and unique option.
The announcement comes after the EPA listed the model code CL500A for emissions testing, so it seems the bike will come to the US.
Also coming to the US is the ADV160, which was recently announced for Asian markets. This will replace the ADV150 that Honda previously sold here.
Finally, there’s a new Grom. It’s unclear what the new grom will come with, but Motorcycle.com suggests the same displacement but a new exhaust system. I would expect some new styling, too. Honda likes to spice things up for its little 125cc badass.
All of this is good news. The bikes included here show that Honda is committed to servicing what I consider to be parts of the market that are underserviced by many companies’ offerings.
I’m particularly excited to see the new CL500 come to the US, but these other offerings are welcomed additions, too.
