Check out this 1982 Honda CX500 Turbo that’s currently for sale on Bring a Trailer.
The bike is one of the only 5,000 ever to be made in the turbocharged motorcycle era. It deserves your attention if not your bid.
This particular motorcycle looks to be in decent condition if not a little faded. The listing has six more days at the time of this writing.
This Honda CX500 Turbo Is a Gem of a Bike
If you want a unique bike that will thrill you, then this Honda CX500 Turbo is for you. It features a 497cc V-twin mated to a five-speed transmission and an enclosed driveshaft. You get a two-up seat that looks comfortable as hell and three disc brakes (two up front and one in the rear) for stopping power.
The bike had work performed on it as early as 2021 and the seller has a title. It’s offered now up for auction with no reserve, so you could snag it for a steal. Right now the bidding is only up to $500.
It’s an example that has been well-loved, showing 33k miles on the odometer. It’s been used, but not beat on from the looks of it. That’s what you want to see in a bike that’s 40 years old.
This is a bike that Jalopnik called “Buckwild Engineering At It’s Best” and RideApart called “The Poor Man’s Moto Guzzi.” I think both of those are honestly pretty accurate, and if you have room in your shed or garage for this, I suggest you snatch it up.
