Launched in 1966, the Suzuki A100 was a 98cc two-stroke dynamo designed for urban commutes. Weighing just 83 kilograms and delivering about 10 horsepower, this rotary-valve single punched above its weight, zipping to 65-75 mph with ease.
Its simplicity and reliability earned fans worldwide, but rarely did it find its way into the custom spotlight—until Radite Octavanka had his say. This custom Suzuki A100 cafe racer is something else.
A Custom Suzuki A100 Cafe Racer From Indonesia
Radite, a designer from Indonesia’s RAXE97 studio, teamed up with his father, a custom builder, to transform a 1973 A100 into something extraordinary. Named Resurrection, the bike was reimagined as a futuristic cafe racer for KUSTOMFEST 2024.
Only the original frame and engine remain; the rest was crafted from scratch. Yamaha V75 forks, F1ZR wheels, and stainless steel fabrication define its new form, from the sleek one-piece tank and tail to the handmade wooden dashboard.
Inspired by legends like Maxwell Hazan, Radite infused the bike with personal touches, including artwork of the anime goddess Ishtar and a faux second cylinder—an homage to his initial dream of a 200cc V-twin. The result? A masterpiece that dominated the competition, taking first place and winning the coveted “Cheetah Pick” award.
With Resurrection, the humble A100 proves even small bikes can achieve greatness. Check out the full write-up and interview with the builders at BikeBound.
