The 2025 Yamaha XSR900 brings more refinement to the popular retro-inspired model without major overhauls. While the faired version remains overseas, the American XSR900 rolls out with smart upgrades from Yamaha’s MT-09 platform, setting a new standard for street riding versatility.
The 2025 Yamaha XSR900 Might Be the Company’s Best Sport Heritage Model Yet
First off, there’s a sleek five-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity for calls, music, and turn-by-turn navigation via Garmin, all managed through Yamaha’s Y-Connect app. Riders also get Yamaha Ride Control (YRC) with customizable power modes for tailored performance in Sport, Street, and Rain settings—plus two slots for custom modes.
Yamaha’s latest upgrades extend to handling with an improved KYB rear monoshock and new linkage design, enhancing traction feel. Ergonomics get a boost, too, with a redesigned seat, USB-C outlet, self-canceling turn signals, and a 14-position adjustable clutch lever for smoother shifts. For safety, the Back Slip Regulator minimizes rear wheel lock-ups, making cornering even sharper.
In classic Raven or Heritage White, the 2025 XSR900 looks to make a statement come April, priced at $10,599. It’s a blend of tech and heritage designed to satisfy those who crave performance with a nostalgic edge.
