The new 2025 Kawasaki Z900 may not bring a displacement boost, but it delivers fresh looks and refined tech to keep this classic inline-four humming. Leaning hard into Kawasaki’s Sugomi design, the new Z900 has a compact, muscular radiator shroud with less plastic, flaunting brushed aluminum with an engraved “Z.”
A Great-Looking Kawasaki Z900 for 2025
Up front, the Z900 a more compact triple LED headlight follows the sloping fuel tank line, while new light-guiding rear LEDs cast a bright, uniform taillight.
Under the tank, the 948cc Inline-Four is re-tuned for low-end torque and fuel efficiency, boasting a 16% bump in fuel economy and 11.3% less CO₂. In the U.S., it cranks out 123 hp and 73.1 lb-ft of torque, hitting the perfect note for street riders.
The Z900’s new six-degree IMU unlocks lean-sensitive ABS and traction control, alongside three preset ride modes—Sport, Road, Rain—and a customizable fourth mode. Add in a quick shifter and cruise control, and you’re ready for smoother, more spirited rides.
Inside the cockpit, a 5-inch TFT display now offers turn-by-turn navigation via Kawasaki’s Rideology app, voice commands for on-the-fly adjustments, and two display modes. The frame’s updated with a new gusset and revised pivot plate, while the Z900 SE adds Brembo brakes and an Öhlins rear shock.
Starting at $9,999, the Z900 rolls out in winter, with the SE model’s price tag at $11,848. Classic meets cutting-edge in this refreshed icon. Check it out at Kawasaki’s website.
