BMW Motorrad and BMW M are celebrating the Nürburgring’s centenary with three limited-edition motorcycles, each capped at 100 units worldwide.
The M 1000 RR, M 1000 R, and M 1000 XR all carry “100 Jahre Nürburgring” badging, exclusive Nürburgring Green paint, and carbon wheels. They arrive in late 2027 alongside six BMW M cars in the same anniversary collection.
What Sets the Nürburgring Editions Apart
Every bike in the trio shares a common visual language. The fuel tank gets a painted Nordschleife silhouette, the airbox cover carries an anniversary design, and the seat uses Alcantara-look material with “100” embroidery. A “one of 100” decal on the gas tank confirms the production number.
The M Track Package comes standard across all three models. Owners also get a certificate of authenticity, an exclusive M motorcycle mat, and a rear paddock stand with a mounting pin. The M 1000 RR and M 1000 R additionally receive an M Cover Kit for track-day preparation.
US pricing has not been announced. In the UK, the M 1000 R starts at £28,700 (about $38,748), the M 1000 XR at £31,200 ($42,124), and the range-topping M 1000 RR at £43,000 ($58,055).
Three Bikes, Three Personalities
The M 1000 RR is the track weapon of the group. Its engine has competed in WorldSBK and the FIM Endurance World Championship, and the aerodynamic package is built for high-speed circuit work.
For the performance naked crowd, the M 1000 R brings the same limited-edition treatment to BMW’s streetfighter platform. The M 1000 XR rounds out the trio as the sport-touring option, combining long-distance ergonomics with enough capability to tackle the 12.9-mile Nordschleife.
BMW has a history of marking milestones with special editions, from the Isle of Man TT tribute to Toprak Razgatlıoğlu’s WorldSBK championship celebration. This one sits closer to home. The Nürburgring opened on June 18, 1927, and every BMW M production vehicle still gets tested on the Nordschleife.
